The 138th Annual Diocesan Convention will take place Friday, June 6, 2008 through Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA. The Right Reverend Pierre Whalon, Bishop of the Episcopal Convocations of Europe, will be our Chaplain. Parishes of the Northern Tier and West Branch Convocations are hosts this year and they will provide volunteers, hospitality, musical and liturgical expertice to our gathering. 

Convention participants can look forward to a joyful gathering!  We will be celebrating our great Diocese as we conduct our business, renew friendships, enjoy good music (choral and other), excellent food, and diocesan-wide fellowship! The theme, "Celebrating Global Anglicanism and Local Mission," will demonstrate the love of Christ through the work of our parishes. You will witness and be amazed at the magnitude of our mission outreach!

There will be a quiet Eucharist with the volunteers and staff who arrive early on Thursday, and anyone present in the registration area will be welcome. On Friday morning there will be a short opening Eucharist in Rooke Chapel.  We'll return to the Chapel for Evensong, followed by the Banquet in the Bostwick Dining Hall.

Business sessions and exhibits will be located in Coleman Hall. All members of the Diocese are encouraged to attend workshops on Saturday morning, followed by the Ordination Eucharist in the Rooke Chapel. No registration is required for Saturday. Check the website for workshop listings, also available at the pre-convention meetings.

All lodging is in McDonnell Hall, the same as last year, which is has elevators and is completely handicapped accessible. If you wish to stay off campus, please make your own arrangements with the hotel of your choice. 

Pre-convention packets will be available at the convocation meetings, or they may be picked up at the diocesan office after May 17. Registration forms can be downloaded from the website and mailed to the diocese. Please note that all registrations must be received at the diocesan office by Monday, May 5. May 13 -  7 PM - Northern Tier and West Branch at St. Paul's, Wellsboro
May 15  - 7:30 PM - Altoona at St. Luke's, Altoona
